He was 18 in 1917 and was a student engineer. He was single lived at this address with his brother Horace Cecil who was also a conscientious objector and their father George Stanley.

Conscientious Objection during the First World War:
Percy was exempted from combatant service as a Plymouth Brethren.

War Service:
He was conscripted into the Non Combatant Corps on 12 June, 1917 at Lewisham. He served at home with the 10 and 11 Eastern companies and was demobilised on 7 February, 1919.
